I am speaking about atheists, but I am not trying to be rude. And please set aside the standard freedom of speech answer. I just really wonder. If you have no religion or spirtuality and people are directing questions to people who do, why would you post?
People deny natural selection and think the creator of the universe has written a book. Why wouldn't I be interested in talking to them
Atheist want desperately to dispell the God that they believe has caused so much pain in their life. They are filled with anger and want to vent it towards God. So they seek spiritual sites or blogs, aiming arrows at spirituality. The core of all humans is to always seek to fulfill spiritual hunger. Humans are born with a God seeking nature. After all, he is our source. Life's choices tend to bury that spark, clouding over the goodness in all mankind. Our God is a loving God and has much patience. So, too, should we.
Without wishing to appear rude, how do you know that someone who does not believe in G-d has no spirituality? Maybe they do and that is why they post here.
I believe that most of them are not atheists but just rabble rousing adolescents. They feel so grown up and self important but society and many adults treat them like children. They don't get the attention they want and the adult world doesn't listen to them or take them seriously. I think this is an outlet for the hedonistic, heady days of frustrated adolescence craving to evoke and provoke a response in a world content to ignore them. Who better to provoke than someone with a strong commitment to something-like a religious conviction.
Because people justifying gay hate and denial of evolution using religion are hilarious and should be laughed at vigorously and often.

This is kind of a silly question. Turn it around and ask yourself why most Xians go out and talk about their religion to people that don't want to hear it.
I really would like to know why it is that Xians and other religious zealots think that they have the right to be the only ones that speak. I mean after all, some of your ilk come and knock on my door to witness and tell me that I'm going to hell. I turn on the TV and hear program after program from televangelists who say that I'm evil because I don't accept their superstition. I can't even eat my lunch in peace without someone wanting to witness to the good news and then tell me I'm going to eternal damnation because I don't accept what they want to tell me. What burns me up, is that most of you willingly accept your fake god given right to put down the lack of belief in your fellow man, but you go ballistic when someone challenges what you believe.
Ask why the log is in your own eye, before you ask why their is a speck in your brother's eye.

Once again for the reason that christian beliefs are imposed on our everyday lives. so when the malls stay open the same time on sundays as every other day and alcohol is sold in every state every day of the week and under god and in god we trust are off our coins then there's no reason to be here really. But then again, I doubt those things will ever happen so intil the day religion is not shoved in everyones face either directly or indirectly, I think atheist and theists alike have every reason to be on here.

Me personally, I'm here to ask and answer questions about religion. It affects my life as does politics. You don't have to be a politician to discuss or enquire or answer a political question. You don't have to be a glutton in order to ask about the best local restaurant in the 'food and recipes' section.
Why are some atheists rude? I reckon for the same reason some theists are rude. Some people are plain rude. For theist examples, see a response here from someone who claims 'most atheists' cannot exist in an adult world.
This is from people who literally believe in magic men in the sky and go to war against or demonize other people who also believe in a magic man in the sky, but call it a different name.
Both of the magic-man-in-sky-people will go out of their way to demonize someone who doesn't believe in their magic men.

How do you know that I, as an Atheist, have no spirituality or knowledge on religion?
This question has been asked far too many times. I know more about religion than most religious people, from a completely objective standpoint, which means my answers, when it comes to it, are not biased and proselytizing like most. I have every right to answer questions if I know the answer, and I usually do.
 What kind of aggressive tropical freshwater fish go together? I want a ghost fish, African cichlids etc?
