  • With what frequency are non-fatal hunting accidents prosecuted?

  • I suppose it depends on whether or not the shooter is a [ViP] politician... Would you like figures for politicians or regular citizens?

  • Well, both politicians and regular citizens. Shouldn't they be treated equally under the law?

  • As for how often non-fatal hunting accidents are prosecuted, my guess is NEVER. An accident that is ruled an bona-fide unintentional ACCIDENT is usually not criminal in nature. I'll concede that the contributing factors (negligence, alcohol, etc) are occassionally prosecuted but not the "accident" itself. It is not a crime to accidentally shoot someone, only the ignorant or negligent behavior that contributes to it (i.e., endangering the welfare of a minor) or enables it that is criminal. If you are referring to how often accidents are pursued in CIVIL COURT (lawsuits), now that's another issue entirely. tutuzdad-ga
